Firstly. if you are like many of us Boomers, you graduated, got a job, moved to the city, married had kids and bought a house. Now, that was over 30 years ago! It’s Scott Brubacher real estate broker here. I’m a Baby Boomer and lifestyle expert. I’ve scoured the MLS system, read TREB sales reports and researched different locations. Likewise, looking for amenities and 55+ communities in the ring around the GTA. I’m about to tell you about my journey to discover the Eight Best Retirement Communities Around Lake Simcoe.  So I jumped in my truck and took a drive and did it all in one day!

In particular this is all  about helping my Mississauga clients decide Where to Move when downsizing their home for retirement. So the types of homes on this road  tour included retirement  bungalows, townhomes and condo apartments.

 

In good time, on a nice fall day, my wife Chris & I packed a lunch, and gassed up the truck. Especially excited was Steve our cocker spaniel. He loves road trips.

Before starting the drive, I researched the different locations, made a few appointments to preview homes, and loaded the GPS coordinates for the communities we wanted to visit.

Surely it was a great road trip. At the end of our day at Keswick and met up with Gigget, her husband David and son Emmerson. In any case we were tired. Stunningly beautiful sunset as we watched  the sun go down over the Lake. Also Our cocker spaniel Steve loved the day too.
