According to the Toronto Real Estate Board market watch report February 3,2016 , January has started off as a Sellers market here in Mississauga and the greater GTA. Sales volume increased 8.2 percent in January 2016 compared to January 2015.
The TREB Ipsos survey of home owners in the greater Toronto area showed that 12% of households were considering purchasing a home in 2016. A sure sign buyers will be out looking at homes for sale in Mississauga and out lying areas.
The TREB Director of Market Analysis stated “Market conditions in January were tighter compared to a year earlier” his perception is that an increase sales volume up against fewer new listings created demand for single family detached homes, semi-detached, and townhomes. In Mississauga the average home price was $545,174. The average days on market is 30 days with most homes selling for 98% of asking price. Our team experience so far this year is a lack of inventory has driven some homes into multiple offers.
