baby boom or bust

In todays list of 48 new Mississauga homes for sale there is something for everyone. Canada’s baby boomers have begun the transition into old age. According to recent news, the move by this large population from producers in the economy to consumers and dependants, will create a gaping hole in Canada’s economy. So baby boom or bust!

Baby boom or Bust – Crocus flowers in Mississauga

I often talk about different types of housing in this blog space. One that needs some attention is housing for seniors. Now we have retirement facilities in Mississauga – Palisades, Sunrise, Amica, Viva, Origin, Verve to name a few and they each have there own appeal and amenities. The question I often get asked is how do seniors finance their retirement and what can they afford. It comes down to two things to support the needed cash flow – savings, investments and real estate assets – yes your home. I think many of the Boomer generation are planning to use the equity in there homes as retirement funds – lets hope for a robust real estate market – baby boom or bust.

In todays list I picked 10 listings which stood out in my mind – check out Princess Street Street in Streetsville – its a custom built detached in the dead centre of town – great for commuters with fast access to the Streetsville Go station – also check out Brasilia Circle in Meadowvale with a great back yard and POOL – yes I did say POOL!! that makes sense for anyone even remotely wanting a pool because you can put it on your mortgage and its already done. I like Santa Rosa Court it has lots of fine finishes and a killer kitchen – Corfu Rd Glen Erin and Aquitaine are all worth a view – lots of other great ones todays – too many to talk about them all!
